Android apps are catching up on Apple rivals says Miller
Kevin Miller, chief executive of Edinburgh-based software firm RunRev, said developers writing apps, or applications, for Apple’s iPhone and iPad were still bringing in double the revenue of those creating similar software for Android-based mobile phones.
But he said the gap was closing as Android becomes more popular.

Hide AdHis comments came as RunRev yesterday launched the latest version of its LiveCode software, which allows developers to write programs for several operating systems without needing to learn complicated code.
Miller founded RunRev in 1997 while still a pupil at James Gillespie’s High School in Edinburgh. Its investors include Apple co-founder Mike Markkula.
