Belarus hits out over fraud claim
BELARUS has refused to extend the mandate of the Minsk office of the Organisation of Security and Co-operation in Europe.
Its decision comes after the OSCE's election observers accused President Alexander Lukashenko of using fraudulent counting in the 19 December ballot to win almost 80 per cent of the vote.
It marks a new low in the West's relations with the authoritarian ruler.
