Calls to make Leith school's expansion a permanent move
LEITH councillor Gordon Munro is calling on education chiefs to create an extra class at a primary school to cope with its increased popularity.
Councillors have voted to expand Victoria Primary in Newhaven from six to seven classes for the forthcoming year, but Cllr Munro believes this has to be made permanent.
The school has become increasingly popular due to the impending closure of Fort Primary.

"Returning it to a seven-class school can only benefit children and link Newhaven with its newly built neighbours."
