Community News: Weather puts a lid on Jam n Jar concert

A POPULAR fundraising charity gig planned for this weekend has been cancelled due to the weather.

The annual Jam n Jar, which raises money for Radio Forth's Cash for Kids appeal, was due to take place at the Minto Hotel this Sunday.

Organisers have been forced to cancel the event because of snow and ice, which would not only put off people attending but cause problems shipping musical equipment into the Newington venue.

No new date has yet been set for the event.
