Driver pulled from water at Nairn Harbour after car plunged off quayside
Emergency services, including the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, and Coastguard crews from Nairn, Burghead and Inverness, were called to the scene on Wednesday, January 27, where they found the driver still in the water.
A spokesperson for the Coastguard said the person was “quickly recovered” with the help of the Moray Inshore Rescue Boat, and taken to hospital by paramedics “as a precaution”.

Hide AdThe car, a silver Citroen, was photographed completely submerged in the mouth of the harbour, as crews worked to remove it.
It has since been recovered from the water.
In a post on social media, the Coastguard warned followers to take extra care “when manoeuvring in and around harbours...especially with the recent wintry conditions experienced across the area.
January has seen a number of Coastguard callouts in the region, including searches for missing people.
