Edinburgh-Reykjavik flights to start in July
Twice-weekly flights between the Scottish capital and Reykjavik-Keflavik airport will run between July 13 and October 26, with flights taking place on Wednesdays and Sundays.
WOW Air already flies to the likes of Amsterdam, Berlin, Boston and Paris, and will also introduce flights to Los Angeles, Montreal and San Francisco over the next few months.

Hide AdChief executive of Edinburgh Airport Gordon Dewar welcomed the new route, adding: “Iceland is an increasingly popular destination for Scottish holidaymakers and this new route also increases choice of flying between Scotland and the United States.
“WOW Air are a very welcome new airline to Edinburgh Airport; they have rightly recognised the increasing demand for connectivity to and from Scotland.
“This news further bolsters Edinburgh’s position as the leader for business and tourism connectivity between Scotland and international destinations.”
WOW Air chief executive and founder Skúli Mogensen added: “We’re very pleased to announce Edinburgh as our third UK departure point given the success we’ve seen with advance bookings on the recently announced Bristol route and of course our original route from London.
“We know that Scottish travellers are an intrepid sort, keen to explore unique and mountainous landscapes so we hope to open up Iceland to many more Scots with our service.”
Passengers travelling from Edinburgh can fly to more than 120 destinations, while more than 11 million travellers passed through the airport in 2015.
