Glasgow 2014: Sickness bug hits athletes’ village
A spokesman said they had been made aware of a “small number” of cases affecting the workforce at the Dalmarnock site.
An advisory has been sent to residents asking them to remain in their rooms if they develop symptoms.

Hide AdThe spokesman told the BBC: “We have been made aware of a small number of diarrhoea and vomiting cases being reported from workforce in the village, which we are investigating.”
The advisory reads: “Any village resident with any signs or symptoms of diarrhoea and vomiting should stay in their rooms and contact the polyclinic for assistance by telephone or through their team management.
“Workforce should notify their manager and avoid coming into work. If symptoms appear while on shift, workforce should contact their supervisor.”
Athletes will shortly begin arriving for the Games, which take place from July 23 to August 3.
