Government bids to end forced marriages
The Scottish Government has unveiled plans to make it an offence which could lead to a two-year jail sentence.
Health Secretary Nicola Sturgeon visited Shakti Women's Aid in the Capital yesterday to announce the plans, which have been welcomed by charities across the country.

Hide AdLouise Johnson from Scottish Women's Aid, said: "A specific, robust, legal remedy, combined with awareness-raising and appropriate training for all relevant agencies involved, will go towards offering protection."
The moves have been backed by the police and local authorities across the country.
