Officer jailed for eight years
A jury at the High Court in Edinburgh took less than two hours to find Paul Greig, 51, guilty of raping the sisters at a house in West Lothian between February 1974 and February 1975.
Sentencing Greig, Judge Lord Kinclaven said: "The complainers were terrified - it is clear you have caused a high level of harm. There is no alternative to a significant custodial sentence."
His victims were aged six and eight when the abuse began. Greig, a Lothian and Borders policeman between 1992 and 2010, was 13.
