Millions of people took to the streets across France to show unity in the wake of last week’s terror attacks.

Dozens of world leaders travelled to Paris to take part in the rally there, which was described as being ‘without precedent’.

Close to 4 million people were thought to have attended marches and rallies across France.

There were also a number of similar events held in other parts of the world, including Scotland.

Over 1,000 people showed solidarity with France in Edinburgh and Glasgow.
