Science supports global warming
ROBERT Dow (Debate, 2 October) may well be right about greed driving carbon trading – it is just another market, so no surprise there. However, his contention that there is “considerable scientific opposition” to the theory of manmade global warming (or AGW) is simply not true – 97 per cent of active climate scientists is a consensus in anyone’s terms.
Global warming deniers are now regularly being given a platform by the media that allows them to punch so far above their scientific weight and credibility that they threaten to derail policies our grandchildren are depending on.
