Tory mirage
I do not trust "call me Dave" or his would-be Chancellor, but when Cameron said the Tories had changed and I heard they were being helped by someone from America I thought they had found a Billy Graham-type figure.
I looked and saw St Teresa of the shoes and other soft-centred shadow cabinet figures, but I now know that it was a mirage.
Up popped Ken Clarke, the man who as Chancellor before 1997 had starved the NHS of financial resources, and William Hague. I think the centrist Conservative Party has simply been a PR exercise to fool the public and if they gain power will change back to the Tories we all remember from the Thatcher days.
