Sheridan wrote from jail cell over hacking scandal
Mr Sheridan’s letter to Tom Watson was revealed in the MP’s book Dial M for Murdoch News Corporation and the Corruption of Britain, which chronicles the phone-hacking scandal that broke last year.
The book, published yesterday, includes a section on Mr Sheridan’s legal battles with the News of the World that saw the former Scottish Socialist leader awarded £200,000 in damages, before being handed a three-year jail term for perjury.

Mr Sheridan wrote: “Murdoch must not be allowed to assume the role of Pontius Pilate in the whole sorry affair.
“They are the bullies of the worst kind, as with any bully running away only invites them to be more aggressive.”
