Pupils return to flood-hit high school
The East Lothian school was badly damaged when downpours hit the county last Friday afternoon but will open following repairs and safety checks today.
Pupils in S1 to S4 enjoyed an unscheduled day off as a result of the damage, though older pupils were asked to attend.

The News told on Saturday how sewage poured through the doors of a primary school in Tranent after flash floods caused drains to overflow.
Staff at Sanderson’s Wynd Primary had to clean up the foul-smelling debris after the school flooded shortly after 1.30pm. The area had been hit by heavy rain and the drainage system was unable to cope.
