School runners raise £11k in honour of late deputy head
A total of 57 staff and students took part in October’s Bupa Great Edinburgh Run in memory of Beth McDonald, who died last July after a short battle with cancer.
Mrs McDonald was described by headteacher Dr John Campbell as “a lively and vivacious sort of person”.

Hide AdThe school runners, along with Mrs McDonald’s husband, Malcolm, have now gathered all their sponsorship money and raised a total of £11,659, which has been presented to the cancer charity.
Craigmount pupils are continuing to raise money with a musical production called Hit the Stage, which is on at the Church Hill Theatre in Morningside until Saturday.
The show features hits from stars including Michael Jackson, Adele, Abba and The Beatles.
