Hide AdA terrified Klass, 31, reportedly picked up a knife and called police, who went to her house near Potters Bar, Herts.
"She was in her kitchen and she suddenly heard a noise," a source said. "She could see two teenagers trying to break into her shed and pressing up against her windows looking inside.
"She was alone with her baby and scared out of her wits. She grabbed a knife and waved it at them. She started banging on the windows and they ran away."
Herts Police officers warned Klass she should not have used a knife to scare off the youths because carrying an "offensive weapon" – even in her own home – was illegal, the source added.
But a spokeswoman for the force said there was no reference made on the incident report about a weapon.
She said:
"No property had been taken and there were no intruders.
"It was treated as a trespass incident."
Klass was said to be "shaken" but unhurt by the incident. Her spokesman said: "The police were fantastic."
