Samsung Galaxy Mega to tackle iPhone’s dominance
The phone, which also comes in a 5.8 inch version, will also aim to topple Apple’s iPhone as the preferred gadget of smartphone users with its larger display geared towards video.
The unveiling of the new Galaxy Mega comes as it was announced that Wolfson Microelectronics has linked up with Samsung to supply components for the latest Galaxy smartphones and tablets.

The move now means that the Mega overtakes the Huawei Ascent Mate with its 6.1 inch screen as the biggest on the market, and it is believed that Samsung wants the larger display area to allow users to operate two apps at the same time.
This now sets the bar higher for Apple, whose iPhone 5 has only a 4 inch display, upgraded from the previous 3.5 inch models.
The Samsung Mega 5.8 and 6.3 are set to be released across Europe in May.
