Paddleboarders rescued after being swept out to sea
TWO stricken paddleboarders have been rescued by Coastguard helicopter after the wind blew them out to sea off the coast of Edinburgh.
The helicopter crew were scrambled after they received a 999 call from the duo shortly after 11am today.
They were rescued almost three-quarters of a mile offshore between Musselburgh and Inchkeith.
Both were winched to safety and taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary where they were treated for suspected hypothermia.
