LAST time the London Velodrome hosted a major track cycling meeting was during the heady days of London 2012, when the venue was re-named the Pringle and transformed into a theatre of dreams, where for five nights the 5,000-strong crowd threatened to blow its wavy, potato-shaped roof off.
