RB Leipzig and Red Bull Salzburg have denied claims that they could work in tandem in their Europa League group, which also contains Celtic and Norwegian side Rosenborg.
UEFA probed the relationship between the two clubs last season, but cleared both clubs to participate in the Champions League. Now Red Bull co-founder Dietrich Mateschitz has played down fears of a “dirty tricks” campaign.

Cummings: I’d love Rangers return
Nottingham Forest striker Jason Cummings has admitted he hasn’t given up hope of a return to Rangers, despite a largely disappointing loan spell at Ibrox last season.
Now on loan at Peterborough, the ex-Hibs striker said: “You could see things changing with Steven Gerrard coming in and that’s why I wanted to get back.
“I definitely feel I’ve unfinished business there. One day I think there will be a return. I hope so anyway. I’ll try and push it, it’s somewhere I want to play again – 100 per cent.” (The Sun)
Rangers braced for £100k legal bill
Kenny Miller and Lee Wallace are set to chase Rangers with a bill for more than £100,000 after SPFL chiefs backed their appeal against club fines.
The league backed the pair’s appeal over disciplinary action taken against them in the aftermath of a Scottish Cup semi-final loss Celtic in April.
Wallace received a four-week fine while Miller was hit with half that, despite eyewitnesses claiming no bust-up took place. The pair look set to demand repayment of the money and their sizeable legal fees. (Daily Record)
Hibs set for player boost
Hibs could be bolstered by the addition of as many as five players to the squad for their next Premiership match at home to Kilmarnock. Marvin Bartley, Florian Kamberi, Darren McGregor and David Gray all have a chance of returning from injury for the visit of Steve Clarke’s side to Easter Road on Saturday week. In addition, new Australian midfielder Mark Milligan is due to arrive in Edinburgh next week to kick off his Hibs career and could make his debut after being granted a work permit yesterday. Hide AdHearts are using the international break to get even stronger after surging to the top of the Scottish Premiership with a 100 per cent record.
Austin MacPhee stressed that the aim is to ensure Hearts resume domestic business at Motherwell on Saturday week still firing on all cylinders after four wins from four league games.
Craig Levein hopes to be back in the dugout at Fir Park but by then, MacPhee wants Hearts to have brushed up on any weaknesses to maintain, or even increase, their three-point advantage over Celtic at the summit. (Evening News)
