Scotland’s final two matches in Women’s Six Nations have been cancelled
The Scots were due to play away games against Italy and Wales but both matches have been scrapped along with the other outstanding game in the championship between France and Ireland.
The news is a blow for Scotland who earned an impressive 13-13 draw with France last month when the tournament resumed after lockdown.

Now the organisers have decided that trying to complete the tournament has become “impossible”.
A statement said: “Six Nations Rugby today announced it has taken the difficult decision to cancel the remaining three matches of the 2020 Women’s Six Nations Championship.
“Recent Government and Health Authority restrictions affecting squad preparations, travel, and the inability to stage matches due to the sport’s amateur status have made the successful completion of the 2020 Championship impossible.”
Ben Morel, CEO of Six Nations Rugby, added: “This was an extremely tough decision that was only taken after we had explored every possible option to get these matches played. It is especially disappointing that these cancellations come at a time when there is such positive momentum around the women's game and for the Women's Six Nations in particular.”
The table for the 2020 Championship will remain as it stands with England already crowned Grand Slam winners having played and won all five of their matches.
Scotland finished fifth. They lost their opening two matches to Ireland and England before lockdown.
