Weston hopes to bow out in winning style

The New Zealander is flying home tomorrow to attend a training camp with his Central Districts club ahead of their participation in the Champions League in South Africa next month. It means he will miss the last two league matches against McCrea FS West and Dunfermline Knights and the 28-year-old batsman, who has 577 league runs, wants to go out on a high. Watsonians President Ross Brooks said: "We have known since February that Tim would be departing slightly early. He has been an inspiring member of the club this year on all fronts however our success this season has been down to our strength in depth of our squad and we should be well placed to continue to succeed in his absence for the final two games." Weston added: "I have really enjoyed my time at the club and the team spirit we have built up has been great." Craig Wright returns to the side following Scotland age-grade coaching duties as the Myreside men, with Ryan Flannigan and Ewan Chalmers on Scotland duty, look to bounce back from defeat to Aberdeenshire. Carlton have opening batsman Preston Mommsen back as they travel to Myreside. He has 578 runs to his name and will be looking forward to getting back to club action after missing Scotland duty due to his work commitments. Leaders Grange are also desperate to get back to winning ways today and they may have Scotland international Neil McCallum back to bolster their line-up as they travel to Uddingston.. McCallum was having a fitness test last night on the Achilles injury that forced him out of this week's Scotland match with Afghanistan. Grange are also giving a debut to teenager James Munro at Bothwell Castle and he will be given the responsibility of opening the bowling with Roy Adams at Bothwell Castle. Grange captain Sanjay Patel said: "James has come up through our youth system and is a good prospect. We wanted to give him a chance and with us needing an extra seamer this week he fits the bill." Chris Murphy will keep wicket in the absence of Simon Smith. Uddingston famously chased down Grange's 340 to win at Raeburn Place earlier in the season and come into the match on the back of a thumping win over Dunfermline Knights. Clydesdale will give a late fitness test to experienced all-rounder Greig Williamson ahead of their home clash with Dunfermline Knights at Titwood. Williamson missed last week's fine away win at Grange, while Qasim Sheikh and Majid Haq are on international duty and Zeeshan Bashir is out. The Knights travel to Glasgow with skipper Alistair Gray needing 71 runs to hit the 1,000 mark. Earlier in the season Clydesdale won at McKane Park by 115 runs. Forfarshire have had a great season on their return to the top flight and will aim to continue that against Greenock.They will be without skipper Ryan Watson at Forthill, Umair Mohammed taking up the reins. Tony Weed and Graeme Garden return, but Andrew Wallace is unavailable. Greenock travel to Broughty Ferry with just one win under their belts, while McCrea FS West host Aberdeenshire in their last home game of 2010. The hosts head into it buoyed by a win over Greenock while Aberdeenshire also had a good victory seven days ago. For the visitors pro Michael Parlane needs 21 runs to reach 700, while seamer Tyler Buchan returns. Tomorrow Carlton host the National Academy at Grange Loan.
